Objectives

SKILLED aimed to improve and internationalize IFOM's staff skills and prestige and to innovate and raise the quality of adult education activities implemented by the cooperative, through the achievement of the following specific objectives: - Improvement of language, communication and other soft skills of the staff - Improvement of staff's European projecting and internationalization skills - Innovation of pedagogical skills - Increasing contacts with entities active in the field of EoA - Increasing staff's motivation and sense of belonging to Europe - Support the advancement of the EoA system through the involvement of at least 4 stakeholders and other organizations active in EoA in dissemination activities. In addition, these project goals were in line with IFOM's internal objectives: - Promote annual continuing education courses for staff. - Participate in and promote EU projects aimed at improving and internationalizing training offerings - Develop a European network of organizations involved in EdA for the exchange of best practices - Develop new innovative teaching methodologies

Background

The need that prompted IFOM to submit this project was to provide an opportunity to increase one's knowledge and fill some gaps at the professional level that would then enable some IFOM staff to perform better in their work activities, feel better prepared, and develop greater satisfaction in the work environment. In particular, they wanted to improve: - The non-fluent knowledge of English, which made it difficult to cooperate and exchange best practices with foreign partners; - The lack of foreign language skills among the staff and the lack of innovative teaching tools, fostered difficulty in communicating with and including users with less language skills or other disadvantages, and consequently the quality of teaching offered - the lack of technical-practical skills, especially in terms of Euro-projecting, and appropriate soft-skills reduced the sense of initiative of IFOM's key staff and therefore the chances of developing IFOM's activities and raising its profile and reputation locally and at the European level
