CODE4EUROPE PROJECT SUMMARY Code4Europe Project was created to raise awareness about coding education, to prepare a coding education plan in primary school, to develop materials for coding education, and to create coding education games. Within the scope of the project, 6 transnational LTT activities are planned. Local activities are planned. Transnational and local activities have all been carried out. (The calendar has been updated due to the Covid-19 outbreak.) Thanks to the activities carried out during the project process, the following objectives were achieved; A lot of research has been done on coding education, and the obtained information has been shared with teachers, students and parents. Thus, the awareness of teachers, students and parents about coding education has increased. Teachers created coding games and coding materials with their students about coding education. They developed these materials by applying them with their students and shared them with their colleagues. Thus, the ability of teachers and students to develop coding materials has increased. Teachers were able to develop modern education methods and techniques. The teachers were familiar with the education systems of other countries in Europe and the applied coding training. They were able to transfer good practices from the schools they visited to their own schools. They shared their knowledge and skills with other colleagues. Thanks to the cultural activities in the Ltt activities, the teachers had the opportunity to get to know the cultures of other countries closely. They shared this information with the students in their classes and enabled them to get to know European countries. Teachers who knew foreign languages were able to practice. Those who do not know have increased their desire to learn a foreign language. Although the common language spoken is English, the teachers also tried to learn the languages of the partner countries. In the activities of the ltt, the students of the host institution made preparations to speak English with the guests. Students' motivation to learn and speak English has increased. Thanks to the frequent meetings about the Erasmus projects system, their teachers have gained knowledge and experience about Erasmus+ Projects and systems. Project work is a team effort. It requires all the members involved in the project to work together. This was also the case in the Code4Europe project. All team members worked with great effort and fulfilled their duties. Thus, teachers' teamwork, reporting of studies, knowledge and experience have increased. Their skills have improved in this regard. While the project was in the process of preparation and implementation, there was a very close communication between the teachers of the partner countries. This strengthened the relationship between teachers. Thus, the feelings and thoughts of respect for differences, peace, integration have developed. Consciousness of the European Union, active European citizenship has developed. Information and communication technologies have always been used during the project process. (zoom, Google meet, whatsapp, etc.) Thus, teachers' ability to use information and communication technologies has increased. With the presentations and materials prepared for students and parents, their awareness of coding education has been increased. Students' attention, motivation and problem-solving skills increased while developing and applying coding education games and materials. In this case, it enabled students to focus on school and education, thus increasing their academic success. Thanks to the coding training, it was seen that the students learned the methods and techniques of research in order to solve a problem they encountered and they improved themselves in this regard. Coding tutorials are fun by students. In this case, it increased the desire of students to come to school. The schools involved in the project have always given importance to the promotion of the project. Promotions were made on different platforms (youtube, facebook, Twitter, etc.). Thus, the recognition of the schools increased. Coding education in schools has developed and increased. In this case, the quality of the schools has increased. During the project activities, frequent communication was established between the teacher, the student and the parents. Parents also participated in some activities. Thus, communication between teachers, students and parents has increased. In project scope; Posters, brochures and banners were prepared in which the project was promoted. Videos, posters and brochures have been prepared to raise awareness about coding education. Some questionnaires were developed and implemented on coding education. Coding Training Plan has been prepared. Coding Education Games have been prepared. These games are promoted and the guide has been published as a book. A project board was created in each school and the project process was introduced by updating it all the time. The project web page, youtube channel, facebook and twitter page were created where the project was promoted and the products obtained were shared. Shares were made during the project process. These platforms will always remain open. New posts will continue.
