Project summary

The integration of the disabled students, aims to prevent prejudices, overcome biological, social, cultural, linguistic disadvantages and remove the mental barriers that truly limit the social life of all the individuals. Our project has been inspired by the belief that drama is an extraordinary device for growth, as pedagogy and drama are always strictly related. Both of them focus on humans and try to unveil their complexity and their multiple forms of being in the world. The drama experience aims to let the differences between groups come out and enhance its value as a source of enrichment for the group itself. The Objectives of this project are: -overcome the idea of integration between disabled children and children without disabilities to get to a broader idea of interaction between people each of them with their own diversities and multiple ways of being in the world; - Exploring new opportunities related to one’s individuality and to one’s own way of staying with others; - Knowing the dynamics that determine the behavior in a small group; - Developing forms of communication related to interaction, reciprocity and participation; - Developing active listening and the ability to elaborate emotional contents in body movements; - Exploring the emotional contents through the “circular” interaction of the body signs with sound and musical signs and with the voice. The project involves teachers and school students primary school and secondary level , from 6 partners countries. : Italy, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal and Italy. Partners will take care of the production and dissemination of information materials. E-mails and materials will be exchanged between students and teachers from the various countries. There will are 6 mobility of project. Thanks to the project mobility, teachers, headteachers and students will visit foreign schools. From a purely didactic point of view, we will make a monthly magazine where students will tell the events of their school, a CD with all the activities carried out over the two years, a virtual “Log book” with photos, a film with the ITC (Movie maker). We will also organize theatre performances and a final Event ( where will be showed the films made) and an exhibition of all the work done. The methods used will be : learning by doing, cooperative learning, peer to peer, peer tutoring. We intend to use a set of methods which include improvisation techniques, the analytical methods of perception/observation of oneself and the others, the physical and vocal training, the active imagination joined to classical therapeutic methods. These methods aim to better understand children’ emotional system, overcome the automatisms of gesture, awake the inner rhythm and the strength of voice and take possession of the movement in relation to space. The envisaged results: - Promoting equal opportunities by integrating children, including, above all, children with disabilities; - developing basic skills and expertise; - developing and strengthen the intercultural education and its contribution to social integration promoting the “European citizenship”; - using the information technology for a wider purpose; - developing a sense of belonging to the European community based on the understanding and the respect for other people and their culture; - promote teamwork; - develop problem solving skills, feedback; - strengthen their cultural and linguistic identity. The above programs aim to strengthen the learning profile of all participants through the production and co-modulation of educational, learning and social actions / practices. Students who participate in the project will be aged between 7 and 13, they will be selected to benefit from them on different levels. Since the groups of pupils will be heterogeneous, each school will contribute by sharing the results of the proposed activities with their experience and creativity. All teachers involved in the project are highly motivated and competent. It will be important for students to communicate through writing, listening, speaking and reading. They will communicate via: Skype, eTwinning, e-mail, will share documents with Drive Google, etc ..., in this way they will enrich their skills in L2, and in ICT. The basic objective is work successfully together in the chosen activities and make students understand that language, age, handicap, social disadvantage and different training/educational needs are not an obstacle to cooperate and grow together as European citizens.

Final report summary

Our project had the objective of overcoming the disadvantageous conditions of any nature and, with the integration of disabled students, we tried to eliminate the mental barriers that limit human social life With this project we were more than convinced that the theater would be a unique growth device. And we were not wrong because the theatrical experience brought out the differences, and enhanced the value of the group. Thanks to this project, all the students integrated spontaneously and each one discovered that we are all different and that we can, with our diversity, collaborate with each other, and that there are no barriers that cannot be broken down. All the set objectives have been largely achieved, the students and teachers who participated in the activities, and also in the mobility, have acquired and strengthened new digital and linguistic skills, bringing a clear improvement to their knowledge. For the students it was fundamental to motivate and stimulate their curiosity and interest, this project undoubtedly motivated and stimulated them, because after having actively participated in all the activities, that insecurity, that fear of being with others has diminished, and so now we can say that they have become active citizens, capable of knowing how to face problems and solve them. All the partners collaborated unilaterally and carried out the same activities, there was a mutual exchange of materials of various kinds. The first year, given the situation of the pandemic, we all agreed to start carrying out the activities, with the students, with Distance Learning, activities, then presented, through virtual platforms. The second year since it was possible, we carried out the activities in the presence and it was certainly more engaging and enjoyable for all of us Thanks to them, students have had the opportunity to participate in trips that have broadened their knowledge of the surrounding world and have matured their conception of the world. All the students have been able to gain confidence in their work, in fact now they feel more confident in acting and have understood that despite adversity they can make their dreams come true. Over the course of the two years, each partner country has dealt with the dissemination, both at local, regional, national and European level, so that these projects for us can continue in the future and be a stimulus for others who have not yet participated. never to an Erasmus + project Over the course of the two years the students, from all the partner countries, involved in the project have created, with the support of the teacher, various kinds of objects, posters, videos, with the use of information technology, set up an exhibition, etc. …. We planned some small performances and the final event which was a real success for all the partners. We used the methodologies of learning by doing, cooperative learning, peer to peer. Methodologies were also applied that included improvisation techniques, analytical methods of perception / observation of the self and the other, etc ... Excellent results were achieved thanks to the integration of disabled students. It was essential to increase intercultural education and consolidate social integration, this has made it possible to promote "European citizenship". Understanding that you belong to the European community while respecting other people and their culture is certainly relevant, and not only for students but also for us adults Teamwork was important with this project, the students were also able to solve problems, and as far as organizational communication is concerned, feedback influenced behavior by improving students' communication. The students, from all the partner countries, who actively participated in the project, were selected to be able to benefit from it on different levels. Each school contributed by sharing the results of the activities carried out with all the partners. For the students it was of great interest to communicate through writing, listening, speaking and reading. Participants communicated using different tools, in this way they enriched their skills in L2, and in ICT. Thanks to a positive result of the monitoring, to the numerous visibility of our blog, of our articles, the results of the project were satisfactory. Thanks to the findings of the level of satisfaction of all participants, both for the execution of all the activities and for the experience of transnational mobility, the results obtained had an excellent impact on the participants. All the planned activities were carried out and, for some of them, satisfaction questionnaires were administered, the final results of which were subject to comparison at the teaching staff meeting in June. Finally, we can conclude by stating that all partners are highly satisfied with the perfect organization and the high educational value of the project, which has allowed the sharing of ideas and good practices among the European Institutes, favoring their internationalization process. The project is to be considered formative under all aspects: human, cultural, linguistic and European integration. It was an extraordinary experience for both the students and the teachers because it allowed us to grow both from a human and professional point of view, confronting us with completely different educational and cultural realities. Participation in the project, therefore, is to be considered very relevant, not only as an experience linked to the individual pupils and teachers involved in the project, but also and above all, as a cultural and planning impact for all the schools of the partner countries. Also in explicit reference to our participation in this project, it is to be understood as relevant above all as a cultural and planning impact for our entire school and the surrounding area.
