Some participants in this exchange, having participated in the first edition of this project in June 2019, wanted to give opportunities to other young people to live the wonderful experience they had lived, in which they discovered the great potential of the Circle Way that fosters the creation of Communities based on Listening and Mutual Respect, and inclusion of diversity. The idea was to make them experience this intense relational approach towards the deepening of social, ecological and relational sustainability. The main objective of this project was to create conditions that would enable young people to realise their potential in rural areas. The focus was on personal development, active citizenship and youth entrepreneurship. Through the exploration of challenges and opportunities regarding sustainability, they discovered what they could do to strengthen themselves in relation to the environment and society (personal development), how they could work together (active citizenship) to overcome the social and ecological challenges of this historical period to create a real change where they could take care of each other, local communities and nature (youth entrepreneurship), developing employment in rural areas. The idea was to live together in an ecovillage, i.e. an intentional community consciously designed in rural areas through participatory processes to generate social and natural environments, the 4 dimensions of sustainability (ecological, economic, social and cultural) are integrated in a comprehensive approach to daily life. PROJECT OBJECTIVES In addition to improving the level of key competences, in particular social competences and emotional intelligence, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, the focus was on - PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. Learning new skills, increasing awareness of empathic communication, taking initiatives and learning to critically evaluate different ways of life. - STRENGTHENING THE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF YOUNG PEOPLE. Bringing interest in sustainability, authentic relationships and community life in ecovillages in Europe; involving young people in cooperation and intercultural dialogue - TO INCREASE YOUNG PEOPLE'S INITIATIVE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Enable young people to explore different employment opportunities in Ecovillages, stimulate them to translate their ideas into action and involve other young people.
