Objectives

The youth exchange “Beat-bulling: Young Generation Against Bullism” aimed to create an opportunity to discuss about Bullism that is increasingly spreading among young people. Bullying is not only manifested in immediately recognizable physical humiliations and aggressive acts. Often bullying among students takes on more subtle and less visible ways in the eyes of adults, through social isolation, derision, marginalization. In addition, with the use of technologies and access to social networks, bullying has found new ways to spread easily: harassment via chat and mobile, violent or vulgar messages, insults, bad things spread on the web. This project gave to the participants an opportunity to get to know each other and learn about different cultures and specifically traditions, in order to understand concepts such as stereotyping, prejudice, to develop intercultural skills and competences related to international youth exchange, reflecting on learning using Youthpass Certificate. The methods planned included intercultural and non-formal learning methods as part of the process of implementation of this youth exchange and set the participants in a position where they would learn from each other and teach each other about their customs, traditions, everyday life and perception of Europe in general. The program of activities was as follows: Creativity Games, Ice Breaking and Socializing Games, Intercultural evenings are planned to get to know and integrate the participants and to deepen the intercultural aspects. Presentation, Brainstorming, Experience Laboratory, Working Group, Networking, Comparison and Debates, Interactive Workshop, Daily Reflections to discuss for the interactive exchange of ideas, experiences and the acquisition of good practices, new skills and the development of new proposals. At the end there has been realized, using youthful language, a document against bullying that spread a message against those who are bullying resigns. The Youth Exchange started a process of intercultural learning and dialogue and trough facilitation the participants have been guided on how to find similarities among different cultures and ways of life, and with that to give participants opportunity to create a perception towards these diversities as richness of Europe, not as a point of division.
