The project stems from the intention to continue the European goal of raising awareness among young people of the social and economic importance of cultural heritage and celebrating Europe's cultural wealth and diversity. In fact we think that the promotion of cultural heritage should not stop with a dedicated year but should continue, creating a long impact in the European community. Participants will have the opportunity to continue the path indicated by Europe through a youth exchange that will consist of a sort of "cultural heritage week", in which they will be able to discover non-formal education and promote the culture of their countries through the countless methods that the non-formal learning system offers. We believe that the enhancement of cultural heritage can generate a significant social impact both locally, in Sicily, and in Europe. How? Thanks to an ISTAT survey, we verified that almost 40% of the foreigners present in Sicily come from Albania, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and Poland and often these minorities are frowned upon by the local community. The enhancement of the culture, history and tradition of these countries can be an excellent tool for intercultural dialogue in order to promote tolerance and inclusion of the minorities present in Sicily. The objectives of the project are: -To enhance the cultural heritage of the participating countries in all its forms -Make participants aware of the cultural heritage of their countries -Increase the interest of young people in cultural occupations -Increase the participation of young people in non-formal activities of cultural associations -Sensitize the citizens of Messina to cultural diversity -Promote intercultural dialogue, inclusion and solidarity
