Objectives

"Sherden Youth" project was born in the framework of "Youth in Europe Capacity Building laboratory", promoted by Malik association in the municipalities of central Sardinia. The main problem underlying the project idea is the absence of intercultural and interreligious dialogue, caused by isolation and mental closure, ignorance, fear of the different, from prejudices, discrimination and racism. "Sherden Youth" project aimed to promote a greater and better exchange and dialogue between young Euro- Mediterranean people coming from different cultures and religions. In the Nuragic era, peoples of the Mediterranean developed relationships even without the support of the Erasmus + Program. The Shardana were one of the so-called "Peoples of the Sea", skilled warriors and expert navigators from Sardinia. Much of the current knowledge about Shardana derives from indirect sources, in particular of Egyptian origin.
