Objectives

The project has among its objectives the education to diversity, to multiculturalism understood not as the juxtaposition of different cultures, but as a common way of living, in which all the differences are religious, social, economic, political, cultural, gender and sexual orientation in a common framework of law. Through the project we would therefore like: - To train and educate young people ready to accept the challenges of cultural diversity - To spread the concept that every person is a global citizen, responsible for humanity, the planet and the future. - Share information on immigration analyzed from various points of view - Know what are the reasons that lead to emigration; - Understand the difference between push and pull factors; - Analyze the effects of migration on people and communities. - Understanding the concept of citizenship in its various meanings; - Know the different solutions that have been adopted in the migration destination countries as regards the right of citizenship; Faced with the rapid processes of transformation in the current world The partner associations share the task and goal of seeking its "intercultural path" of response to the migratory processes that affect various countries. Intercultural breathing can relax when refining the critical memory of the culture to which we belong, when the sources of knowledge are sought in a plural and polycentric way and when there are round trips, dialogues and sharing between different worlds, learning to recognize a a broader sense horizon for all, which is not only in the sum of the cultures of the world, but rather a horizon that sets them on the way and brings them together. We have called this cultural challenge "Education for global or global citizenship". For young people, European identity is above all a combination of culture, freedom and centrality given to the person. But these values must be able to be declined in a winning way with respect to the challenges that this century poses, on how the forms of democratic participation change, on the governance of migratory flows, on new inequalities. The implementation of an immigration policy, aimed at the dignified inclusion of those who live in the territory, must start from the education of young people to knowledge and respect for the diversities that have become part of our daily life, to create a spirit of acceptance, acceptance, exchange and enrichment. Through the recognition of common values, cultural differences can be overcome and a communication channel can be created to help immigrants integrate. In a rapidly evolving international context with international conflicts that push large masses towards Europe, the need to contribute with a convinced and in-depth educational and cultural action to the development of a Union is increasingly strong. The specific contexts in which the Organizations operate are characterized by an ever-increasing encounter between cultures, both at school and in meeting places, but many young people do not have a European vision as they often never leave their municipality or city. The Ass. Operate in small countries with little openness and young people are unfamiliar with interculture and diversity. In many cases they do not know the sense of European citizenship because they have never experienced it. It is important to build a true dialogue and a civil coexistence: combating prejudice, intolerance and typical selfishness, which feed on ignorance and the lack of knowledge of the other. The central objective of this project is to encourage young people to become active citizens, at a time when disinterest and lack of information risk sinking the new generations into civil disengagement and intolerance. This is why participation, dialogue between peoples and cultural exchange become central actions to build people capable, through the system of participatory democracy, of contributing to the progress of the Union.
