The main motivation of the project is to promote a responsible usage of audio-visual tools in general and video in particular, and insist in its potential to create positive and effective changes in society from a local to an international level. The project will consist in two phases: the first one is expected to equip the participants with the basic tools for the production of social video, so for them to use social networks as platforms where to promote their initiatives. Thereby, the project presents video as a basic element of communication and consequently as an essential and needed engine to promote social change. Through the motto “more is less” and “guerrilla cinema” techniques, participants will learn to produce videos with basic equipment, but improving and providing those productions a certain amount of professionalization. During the second phase of the project, participants will shoot a video for the promotion of local associations in their countries, giving the project a clear international impact. Therefore, the principal aim of the project is to improve the filmmaking skills of the participants, so they can eventually put in practice to create impact in their local communities, promoting local engagement for social change. Furthermore, the project also aims to encourage teamwork and intercultural communication, reinforce time-management skills and the usage of diverse technical equipment. Audio-visual coaching will cover all phases of production: pre-production, shooting, post-production and distribution, and will be put in practice through a diversity of dynamics and learnings. Specifically, each participant will have contributed after the project to the production of at least three videos that will be shared in the social networks of all the partners and local associations: 1) one that evinces somehow the implementation of one of the seventeen SDG (sustainable development goals) proposed by the UN. 2) a promotional video of a local NGO in Lecco. 3) a promotional video of a local NGO in their home countries.
