The rising youth unemployment rate in the European Union has made the European Commission youth employment a priority. The current labor market in European countries tends to face various challenges, even though there are many open positions, because young people have limited skills for these jobs. Also, the phenomenon of Education-job mismatches is very common encountered in the youth field. These lead to statistics of youth unemployment in EU to over 15%. Problems such as the lack of competence of young people to enter the labor market are deeply rooted. Most of the time limited speaking skills level pulls them back. Young people are not taught to speak in the community and have a limited knowledge of how to present themselves to a job interview and a well-prepared resume. This leads to the fact that most of young people nowadays cannot successfully pass a job interview. The so-called “lost generation” is represented by many young citizens struggling to develop necessary skills and experience – this results from the low level of key competences like Personal, social and learning to learn competence and Entrepreneurship competence which are replaced with the increased theoretical preparation to the detriment of the hands-on approach education needed both by the young people and the labour market. Another cause of high rate of youth unemployment is a limited level of knowledge regarding personal branding (pitch), which leads to limited capabilities of marketing and promoting themselves and create a strong personal branding. Objectives of the project that we plan to achieve by the end of the project are: 1.Increase key competences with regards to the accession of the labor market, of the 37 participants from ES, IT, PL, LT and TR. 2.Develop Entrepreneurship competence of the 37 young particiants from the 5 countries mentioned above. 3.Increase the capacities of the partner organisations to plan, organise and implement a KA1 youth exchange tailored to youths with regards to the new realities of the labour market.
