The idea of the project was born from the orientation activities carried out with a group of young people with scholastic and inclusion difficulties. It emerged that these children struggled to stay at school, and felt a constant need to move, ask for breaks to go out in the open air. This made us reflect and challenge ourselves to find new ways to channel the energies of the children in a way that is useful for learning, self-awareness and personal empowerment. We therefore shared this idea with the contact persons of the municipality of Omegna, who is also responsible for the sport office of the municipality, and it is therefore attentive and sensitive to the creation of opportunities that can connect young people to the values of sport. The municipality of Omegna is very active on the subject of education through sport and has been recognized as the "European Capital of Sport". Until now, the municipality has greatly supported the competitive dimension of sport, organizing competitions and championships of international importance. From the communication exchanges with the municipality, however, emerged the desire and the opportunity to better enhance the qualified network of operators, skills, sports facilities available in Omegna to experiment with an educational project, where greater attention was paid to the goal of using sport as a tool to include and strengthen young people with fewer opportunities related to learning difficulties and living in a geographically isolated context, which offers few opportunities for free time and intercultural exchange. We have therefore composed a group of young people with learning difficulties and social inclusion as well as with less opportunities because suffering from geographical isolation. The group was composed in collaboration with the Municipality of Omegna and the municipal library, where the Eurodesk is also occasionally hosted. The establishment of a group of young people, with whom work has also been done to help them consider mobility in Europe as a tool to strengthen their skills in an alternative way to school paths in which they have not or have not been very successful, inviting them to experiment with non-formal education, but young people have still shown resistance to it these proposals, linked to cultural barriers, scarce habituation to mobility and intercultural confrontation and consequent connected fears. We therefore decided to try to work in small steps with this target of young people, bringing them closer and accompanying them to live a first experience of inter-cultural confrontation, in hospitality, of short duration. We therefore selected a theme such as sport, which could highlight the skills of children and not highlight their difficulties in working on too complex issues, thus enhancing experiential learning. Even comparing ourselves with the boys, we identified sport as a topic of interest. The aim of the project was therefore to use sport not only to manage energy and to achieve physical well-being but also to learn some valuable social skills useful for personal development. Sports, physical activities and games simulate many of the challenges faced by young people in their lives every day. Through sports activities, we wanted to help young people develop the skills necessary to adequately face the challenges of life. In fact, we intended to use sport to teach important lessons such as winning and losing, use fair play, work as a team, have leadership and discipline and work long-term on long-term goals. We therefore wanted to fully exploit the educational potential of sport to help young people become "suitable to life ". This is especially true for young people with fewer opportunities who, for a variety of reasons, need extra support to develop their identity, their social skills and their ability to cope with life's challenges. The objectives of the project can therefore be summarized as follows: -promote the active participation of young people in society -promote positive values of sport, solidarity and tolerance that strengthen cohesion between young people and the community -promoting the positive impacts of sport on the empowerment of young people with fewer opportunities -stimulate and support the proactive and participation capacity of young people - involve and sensitize the community on the issue -develop sports and youth follow-ups
