By participating in the project, the participants should: - Gain insights into a different way of working and thinking; - Gain experience of new developments in their own field; - Improve their foreign language skills or learn a new language; - Develop their own personality; - Raise awareness of dual vocational training.
The Office for Vocational Training and Career Guidance has been actively involved in EU training programmes since 1998. The aim of the Project "Mobility after apprenticeship" is for apprentices to gain international work experience as part of their dual vocational training programme or after completing it, which is important for their future career. This gives them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with new working methods, new products, trends, recipes, tools and design variations. In addition to expanding their professional knowledge, the programme also aims to develop their social skills. This is supported by the co-operation with previously unknown people and integration into new work teams. From a labour market policy perspective, there is a certain shortage of well-trained specialists, which will intensify in the coming years due to demographic change. It should therefore be our concern to promote and support every form of skilled labour qualification. Learner mobility should be part of a renewed effort to build skills and competences in Europe in order to be innovative and competitive at national level.
