The goals of this project corresponded to the needs of the European development plan of Alytus progymnasium and were aimed at: 1. To promote the professional development of pedagogues, their leadership, openness to innovations and changes. 2. To improve teachers' competence in foreign languages and to improve their understanding of the cultures of other countries. 3. To master innovative ICT programs and tools aimed at improving the effectiveness of educational content, international communication and cooperation. 4. To increase the attractiveness and internationality of progymnasium by conducting STEAM activities not only at the national but also at the European level. By organizing the dissemination of the events and results of the project, the progymnasium wanted to increase its awareness in the town, the republic, and abroad.
The needs and goals of Alytus Piliakalnis progymnasium in the field of European mobility and cooperation are: - professional development of teachers, their leadership, openness to innovations and changes; - increase the efficiency and attractiveness of education by implementing STEAM training, promote interdisciplinary integration, teamwork; - to develop international cooperation, encouraging teachers and students to get to know other cultures and initiate partnership activities with foreign schools; Therefore, this project "Learning teacher - teaching learner" aimed to contribute to the strategic development of the progymnasium and provide an opportunity for employees to raise their professional qualifications, improve the educational process by integrating the skills acquired during mobility and expand the possibilities of European cooperation, in order to to modernize the content and forms of education. Realizing the importance and need of STEAM sciences, the progymnasium wants to strengthen the education of STEAM, the ability to flexibly and creatively work with digital technologies, both in primary and basic education classes, so it wanted to gain experience from foreign educators and also share its good work experience.
