After analyzing the activities of the gymnasium, we clarified the main problems and set the following goals for the implementation of this project: 1. To modernize and strengthen the management of the school so that gathering leadership and a democratic management model would dominate in order to achieve qualitative changes. This was very relevant, because a new principal started to manage the gymnasium in 2019, some members of the administration team changed. 2. To improve the competences of pedagogues in order to strengthen the attractiveness and efficiency of the educational process, to successfully implement modern teaching methods that would make teaching realistic, relevant, attractive and motivating. The goal is better educational results of the students: the general progress of the gymnasium is not lower than 97%. We were motivated to pursue this goal because of the deteriorating learning results of students and the obvious decrease in learning motivation, the social-emotional climate of the gymnasium growing worse and worse. 3. To create a motivating educational environment in the gymnasium based on cooperation (teacher-student; student-student; teacher-teacher). There was a more competitive and distrustful atmosphere in the gymnasium, so it was very important to promote more open relationships that would help to solve the problems that have arisen and to achieve the best possible results at work and education together. 4. To improve teachers' English language skills and cultural knowledge competencies. To encourage more active interest in European educational innovations and involvement in both international projects and activities on virtual educational platforms.
Our gymnasium had not participated in "Erasmus" KA1 projects until this project, but we observed the activities of our colleagues from schools of our municipality, heard their feedback about the benefits of the projects, therefore, after analyzing the problems and opportunities of our school, we decided to submit an application for this project. The idea of the project was presented to the community of our gymnasium and the approval of both the administration and the teachers' council was received to submit an application for the project.
