Background

Gymnasium professional teachers of their subjects during surveys, discussions, and parent meetings conducted in the gymnasium found out that to achieve high results, students, their parents, and teachers constantly feel tension and stress, and do not know how to cope with it. Various surveys conducted in the gymnasium confirmed that insufficient attention was paid to the development of emotional intelligence in the gymnasium. In addition, the education department of Šiauliai city recommended the gymnasium community to strengthen the development of emotional intelligence in the gymnasium. Therefore, the goal of the gymnasium in 2020 was to improve the culture of cooperation and the emotional intelligence of students. The team of "Be Different to Make a Difference" sought that the project activities would help the gymnasium community to develop emotional intelligence, conduct stress prevention and manage stress in various life situations. We believed that by gaining more knowledge about emotional intelligence and stress management in an international context, we will be able to deal with stressful situations, which will improve the culture of cooperation in the gymnasium and the development of students' emotional intelligence.
