The goal of Panevezys Education Center project ‘OBSERVE, LEARN, USE‘ was to strengthen educators' competencies by involving adults in project activities. The projects aims were to improve staff intercultural competence by raising participants' awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries; developing staff mentoring, social and communication competencies that are necessary to ensure quality for project participants and to provide quality services; developing the competencies of modern leadership in order to achieve the quality of collaboration of employees working with adults; developing methodological recommendations for work with adults. It was also important for the staff of the center to learn ways and means to encourage the involvement and active participation of new adults, how to motivate adults for lifelong learning, how to involve adults in lifelong learning activities through projects, and what ideas to bring to adults through project activities.
Our partners responded very well to Erasmus + Mobility, so we decided to participate and submitted an application. Specialists of the Education Exchange Program presented the opportunities and benefits of Erasmus + mobility at the Panevėžys Education Center. It turned out to be very attractive and rewarding. After reading the application preparation guidelines, we saw that it would be beneficial for the staff of our organization to participate in the mobility. The goal of our organization is a qualified employee with the leadership competencies necessary to achieve the full quality of cooperation between employees working with adults. Therefore, it is necessary for the staff of the education center to constantly update, deepen and improve their competencies, focusing on international partnerships, getting acquainted with new teaching methods and technologies applied abroad, and cooperating with Europe.
