Objectives

The general goal of the project was to help successfully implement the strategic goals and tasks set by RV3G (for 2016 - 2021) and a more successful transition to the new learning content. The tasks of the project were: 1) Promote the improvement of teachers' modern and creative teaching skills and methods within the framework of the new curriculum: creativity, critical thinking, cooperation, digital literacy; 2) Promote the creation of curricula according to the learning standard of the new content: 2.1) advanced or higher level in mathematics; 2.2) in elementary school in English and in high school in Spanish; 2.3) in the new subjects: cultural foundations and design and technologies. 3) Promote more active involvement of students in class (active learning) and self-directed learning.

Background

1) since 2017. RV3Ģ has been involved in the approbation of the project No. 8.3.1.1/16/I/002 "Competence-based approach in learning", therefore it was necessary to increase the involvement of teachers in the search for new modern and creative approaches to the learning process in the following competencies: creativity, critical thinking, cooperation and digital skills. From 2020/2021 the school implements the new educational content in all classes, which means changes in the organization of curriculum (new subjects with a European dimension: cultural foundations and design and technologies; English at the highest level) and teaching methods. 2) RV3Ģ, as a state gymnasium and approbation school, is obliged to provide professional development courses for teachers from other schools. 3) In 2019/2020 the school was undergoing an accreditation process. Although the school mostly received the highest rating of "very good", there were also recommendations for lessons - to work on active learning and self-directed learning, the development of students' critical thinking. 4) RV3Ģ is increasingly involved in international projects (Erasmus+, Nordplus, eTwinning) and shares its experience with schools abroad. By educating the teachers of our school, we attract new ones, get the opportunity to pass on good practice and help operate in a multicultural environment, which is one of the goals of the EU
