The following goals were set for our project: 1. To improve the professional competence of the 9 teachers and employees of the Technical School in order to be able to successfully implement the educational process based on the competence approach and promote the competitiveness of the students, individual talents and develop a more favorable, more inclusive technical college environment based on the principles of sustainability. 2. Use the acquired experience in the improvement of existing subject programs and methodological materials, in the perfection of the current study subject programs and the methodological materials, elaboration of new interest educational programs and recommendations, approbating them in work with students. 3. To complement knowledge about innovative educational concepts in various European countries and to transfer this knowledge to the teachers and students of Daugavpils Construction Technical School, as well as to other interested parties of the technical college, city, region, country and abroad. 4. To promote the internationalization of Technical School by adopting the experience of various European countries.
When implementing the project, we initially planned to improve the quality of education provided by Technical School, as well as promote the sustainable development and internationalization of the educational establishment: 1.increasing the quality of the education to be obtained and promoting the competitiveness of learners in the labor market by including activities in general education subjects that will promote future skills useful for all professions, as well as improve indicators in centralized exams of students; 2.developing an inclusive and supportive educational environment that would promote the development of individual talents of each student and prevent premature leaving of the educational institution; 3.improving the professional competence of educators by improving digital skills and learning innovative teaching methods and approaches that would correspond to the implementation of the new educational process based on the competence approach in the educational establishment; 4.to develop cooperation with foreign partner schools in the future; 5.improve project participants’ knowledge of foreign languages, understanding of the cultures of other countries, build international communication networks.
