It is necessary for the educational institution to implement European mobilities for students in order to increase the quality of the vocational education process. To enter the European and Latvian labour market in the future. Reasons to participate in geographical mobility: - to understand what it means to practice in companies (hotels, cafes, restaurants, bars, tourist offices); - to learn new languages (Polish and Portuguese) and to improve professional English, German listening, speaking, reading, writing skills. This project has motivated every mobility participant. In our experience, for students with a study duration of 3-4 years, learning outcomes and social skills have been increased significantly after Erasmus + traineeship. The traineeship period (4 weeks in Portugal, 4 weeks in Germany and 3 weeks in Poland) inspired each student because he/she became more responsible, communicated with people from the European Union, added the image of democracy, equality, tolerance, the rule of law. The project was closely linked to the improvement of students' professional skills.
The mission of the Daugavpils Trade Vocational Secondary School - to provide students with the opportunity to acquire quality education and professional competencies in the field of services in order to be successful. The idea of the project is closely linked to the objectives of Erasmus + to promote the EU linguistic diversity: English, German, Polish and Portuguese, to strengthen cooperation among the world of learning and the world of work. The professions acquired at school are those where there always will be a demand on the labour market in the European Union. To become good experts a willingness is required to invest significant work into development. International practice experience is very important for school students to acquire full-fledged competencies in their specialty, that provides new knowledge, promotes motivation, hardens competitiveness. The school aim is also to cooperate with various organizations and institutions, including abroad, in order to increase the efficiency of school work. Erasmus + project develops cooperation and strengthens existing partnerships in Europe with partners from Poland and Portugal, and develops new contacts with Germany, that will allow to be involved into new Erasmus projects.
