The library provides services and learning support for individuals of all ages. During the implementation of the project it was decided to improve the knowledge of adult educators in the field of andragogy in order to successfully transfer knowledge to people with different life experiences and in different forms of learning in the learning process. The objectives of the mobility project was to increase the management and educational competences of librarians who are involved in educational activities, to improving teaching methods, techniques and tools, to increase the competences of the NLL (National Library of Latvia) staff to develop effective and high-quality library learning services for adult audiences; learn the new approaches and concepts of organizing the learning process; as well as to learn the most suitable digital tools for librarians who implement the learning process for adults in their institutions.
Knowledge of andragogy is vital for library staff to provide library services in a high quality and in available way for adults. By participating in mobility training it was planned to improve the quality and efficiency of the education and training process to increase transversal competencies of management of training.
