Background

For several years now, the LatInSoft Training Centre has been training students and lecturers from various European Union countries within the Erasmus+ mobility programmes. The teachers and other employees of the Training Centre have also repeatedly improved their professional knowledge and skills by participating in Erasmus+ mobility programmes. The most demanded programmes at the LatInSoft Training Centre are language learning programmes, especially those implemented within the framework of the "Learn Russian in the European Union" project. Thanks to the historically, culturally, religiously and nationally rich environment of the region, the training centre offers foreign students training with full language immersion in the city of Daugavpils, a very useful and rich and varied programme for language learning through history and culture. The Training Centre applied for the project in order to become more visible at European level and to establish cooperation with other European educational institutions, to improve the curriculum content, combining existing unique strengths with newer international trends, to bring in higher quality and quality assessment standards.
