The project activities covered 3 directions: VET learner traineeships in foreign companies, learning mobility for VET teachers and specialists, teaching and training asignments. Objectives for VET learners: - to develop and strengthen professional competences at European level; acquire the latest technologies in the chosen profession in practice; link theoretical knowledge and practical skills; improve learners' professional knowledge of English and develop their social integration and intercultural competence. Objectives for VET teachers and specialists: - to study the VET concepts and quality management of vocational education and training in VET institutions in different European countries; explore how the elements of work-based learning are integrated into the curricula of European educational institutions and implemented in practice; get acquainted with the organization of study work and practical training in the fields of hair-care and railway; learn about innovative methods used in ICT training; find out how a professional foreign language is taught and used in working environment; further one's professional teaching skills in international context; improve their English skills.
Investing in human resources is an important precondition for ensuring that the workforce meets the requirements of the European labor market in future. Daugavpils Technical School implements this project for strategically sound investments in the development and growth of the educational institution through investing in the professional development and growth of HR potential. As the school's development priorities are introduction of innovations and improvement of the quality management system, the learning mobility of teachers, specialists and the internship of students in foreign companies, participation in the project provides the opportunity to implement these priorities in the international context. Implementation of the project objectives offered the students the opportunity to acquire professional skills, abilities and competences corresponding to the European labor market, to strengthen their readiness to start and develop an independent professional life. Vocational education specialists were offered the opportunity to gain new innovative experience and knowledge in the professional field, to test one's abilities, to improve foreign language and intercultural competences.
