Objectives

With the support of the Erasmus+ project, improve and develop cooperation with educational institutions at EU level, strengthening the international dimension of PI, the visibility of RTRIT and its capacity to operate at international level. The development of partnerships is one of the ongoing tasks of international development. An additional RTRIT deliverable which permeated the mobility was, through the positive impact of the ERASMUS+ project, to reduce the number of young people who drop out of RTRIT. The aim of the activities aimed at the management and teachers of the technical college was to provide an overview of the education systems in Europe, the diversity and comparability of qualifications and the applicability of the ECVET framework for the recognition of learning and practical skills through staff activities.

Background

Riga Technical school of Tourism and Creative Industry (further - RTRIT) project "Future Education Starts Today" was developed based on the RTRIT Internationalisation Strategy 2016-2020 and the international development and mobility plans described in the Mobility Charter. RTRIT set objectives which the implementation of the project contributed to achieving. As a VET institution, RTRIT is committed to developing and recognising the knowledge and skills of learners and teachers, both locally and internationally. Equally important is the opportunity for educators to share their knowledge and experience through workshops and lessons in partner schools. In previous projects, the mobility of young people at risk of dropping out of RTRIT has had good results. In the preparation of this project application, it was planned to involve learners who are less able due to different circumstances in different mobility activities in order to reduce the risk of early school leaving.
