The goal was to assist people at risk of exclusion (young people, elderly people, people with low education, skills and knowledge, migrants, women etc.), by providing them the theoretical and practical knowledge of the enterpreneural world. By encouraging, providing the skills and knowledge to the people at risk of exclusion, the HERE project goal was to provide good enough enviroment for the target group, so they can be self-sustainable and develop themselves, together with the neighbourhood they live in. This could be achieved by establishing their own, new business or getting involved other people, for the social economy of proximity.
HERE aim was to design a business incubation methodology for people at risk of exclusion in their own neighborhood. In the scope of HERE project, partners have worked in degraded neighborhoods on international level, to research and analyse the needs of people at risk of exclusion and potential business needs. The aim was to promote what we call social economy of proximity. This means that, we primarily mapped the needs of the neighborhood and then we provided training for the vulnerable neighbords, who usually live in vulnerable situations so they can be the ones creating companies. By providing the skills necessary, they can provide to their own needs and jobs. The project aim was carry out a mapping of opportunities in degraded neighborhoods, to design a adapted training for this vulnerable neighbords and to assist them in implementing their ideas of entrepreneurship projects among the neighbors. Data gathered during the assistance and incubation period, by practical validation, the information would be put as practical information on a MOOC learning platform.
