Environmental issues are on the top of European agenda, as an inseparable part of our economy and health. Focus of the project was mainly on the link between our health and well-being, food and environment. We have paid special attention to malnutrition and obesity, as both being health problems directly linked to the way we produce, market and consume our food. Second thing that we focused on during this YE was waste management and recycling, taking good care of the nature and our surroundings, and its connection to being a healthy individual. Waste problem is a focal point because of its affection on people’s health and the environment. By being more aware and responsible, and if we would recycle, re-use what we have, we could avoid or at least decrease this negative impact. The overall goal, and aim of this project was promoting healthy lifestyle and environment conservation, as an important part of European policy frameworks, among European Youth, and inspiring participants to change their own self towards being a better and “greener” European: balanced inside, balanced with nature, balanced with society. Objectives of this YE were: - To educate Youth on the topic of malnutrition, what are the risks and consequences of obesity, as it presents one of the current problems within European Youth; - To present practical tools to the participants, how to prevent obesity or malnutrition, in their everyday life, and share among their peers. - To stimulate youngsters to recycle and see the benefits of recycling - To prevent waste as much possible, as individuals, with potential to share gained knowledge inside their communities. - To show how to advocate, make campaigns, to raise awareness of the environmental impact, inspiring them to influence other young people, or other target groups. The project goes went in line with Erasmus+ programme objectives: - to improve skills and competences of young people and to promote their active participation based on real needs, -to promote non-formal learning, -to promote international cooperation of youth; and corresponds to the national priorities: -including young people with fewer opportunities (those from remote areas, with geographical, political, cultural obstacles), cultural minorities, -raising awareness on common green European values -and motivating young people to take initiative being balanced in and out, as a positive example for other peers.
