SUGS Gimnazija “Josip Broz Tito”, has a long tradition of 77 years of teaching excellence to numerous generations of students. In order to stay at the top with the best schools in the country it has to strive for continuous professional development and innovate teaching methods of the teaching process. The project “Student Centered Effective Classroom” was created with the desire to place the student in the centre of the major reform processes and the transformation of the school. For that purpose the Erasmus+ project team looked at our school’s strategic development plans and has created the European development plan, with an aim to place the student as the centre of the classroom, where the teacher has to be ready to create interactive and interesting activities to attract the attention of the students and to create an innovative school environment. The European development plan of SUGS Gimnazija “Josip Brzo Tito” reflects the development of the European dimension of the school, aimed at strengthening the students’ intercultural understanding, education within the European education space and active participation in the social life at local, national and European and global level.
