By implementing this project we would like to promote inclusion as a substantial part of teaching in 21st century.
Inclusion is a team sport; find your teammates and make it happen! That is our simple recipe for success. Municipal Secondary School Gjorche Petrov has 550 students and 78 staff personnel ( teaching and non-teaching). It is getting more and more challenging to be an inclusive teacher and educator in the 21st century. Learning differences and giftedness both impact the way students are able to understand the information. As a teacher, providing the optimum support to students with special needs can be challenging, especially in mainstream education where there are heterogeneous learners, as it is in our school. For that reason teachers must put a great effort to learn new methods of teaching in order to build inclusive classrooms. Therefore, our teachers and students, have agreed that changes in teaching methods are necessary. We focused on identification, innovation, improvement and boosting motivation of SEND students i.e the classroom in general. Participation in this project would boost teachers` motivation to gain knowledge; strengthen their competencies and help them to adopt new teaching methods in order to raise the quality of teaching to a higher level and produce competent and skillful students for the labour market.
