With implementing this project our school improved the quality regarding international standards of teaching methods, teaching content, implementation of projects, practical experience of our students, etc. The teachers achieved the following objectives: - learnt new digital methods and tools for interactive lessons; - developed plan and vision for the school's policy of internationalisation; - improved their management, organisational and ICT skills - provided quality of this project and its outcomes with teaching material and content - improved communication skills in English and cooperation with foreign partners - gained knowledge of Erasmus+ programme and the possibilities how to apply for a project The objectives for our students were: - to be more competitive on a labour market - to have international work experience - expand their practical knowledge - apply theory in practice - improve personal and professional development - improve their VET Competences - to improve their communication skills in English By providing competent teaching staff, we are reaching more satisfied students in the classroom and by providing international experience our students are becoming more aware about the importance of practical learning.
This project was applied to respond to the needs of our students and staff in improving their knowledge, skills and competences, with strong aim of internationalisation, learning from good practices in EU countries and gaining knowledge of the tools and methods for education. With the mobility in Portugal, our students gained sufficient knowledge and experience that will create a new generation of competitive individuals in the labor market in our country. According to their feedback and meetings organised after the mobility, as aimed with the European Development Plan, we measured that students got unique experience, that will help them to be more successful, they improved their English language skills and brought back innovative information, from which the other students will benefit as well. Our school is in need of improvement of competencies of the teachers/staff regarding lecturing by using contemporary interactive ICT methods and more international experience. Teachers had obvious need of learning new teaching approaches to be more confident to teach and implement digital tools in their lessons, to make the teaching more attractive for the students, at the same time going hand in hand with international teaching trends.
