The main objectives of this project were to provide the participants with the opportunity to our local musical directors and teachers new ways how to improve their musical skills, acquire new technical and professional know-how on the subject of musical teaching. The administrators that formed part of each group learnt new methodologies how to be more innovative and to attract children and youths learning music within their own local communities. The objectives could be achieved through the various activities of the project such as with the hands-on experience with the professional tutors that form part of our partner’s organisations. Another project objective was that the participants realised the importance that as a sector we need to work together to create a national musical curriculum across our local wind band societies.
Through the implementation of this project we were keen to invest in our staff inter-personal skills so that to improve in their personal and soft skills, self-confidence, intercultural understanding and maturity through the cultural exchanges that such projects offer.
