Cultural heritage has a universal value for us as individuals, communities and societies. It is important to preserve and pass on to future generations. You may think of heritage as being ‘from the past’ or static, but it actually evolves though our engagement with it. What is more, our heritage has a big role to play in building the future of Europe. >Cultural heritage’s value to society >Its contribution to the economy >Its role in European cultural diplomacy Cultural heritage has a positive yet undervalued impact on our societies, contributing to the quality of life, social cohesion and intercultural dialogue. In the era of globalization humanity faces new challenges and new threats. This requires a high level of cooperation and the establishment of trust between citizens from different countries. A special role in solving global problems is assigned to youth. So we decided to create a project that will provide an opportunity for young people from different countries to meet each other, to communicate and to establish cooperation. Our project involves youth workers interested in drama, because this is one of the ways to react new challenges. This project also aims to support and promote the principles of democracy, which is a priority for international cooperation and is corresponding values of European society. Part of the group will be people with fewer opportunities due to the different reasons and we have a priority to choose young people from rural areas, small towns, from less socially and financially prospering countries, families, backgrounds. This project will give them a great experience in working with other cultures, it will give them opportunities to communicate, to learn new things about themselves, about the drama , about the European values and European programs.
