Background

MCAST has applied for this project to provide students with an international dimension to their vocational education programs. This project aimed to enhance students' learning experience, qualification, employability, and overall understanding of their field of study. The goals included gathering evidence through training and work experience, discovering the international dimension of their field, transferring skills from college to the workplace, experiencing new working methods, and promoting the use of English as a working language. The project also offered non-formal benefits such as improved team-working and decision-making skills, individuality, independence, tolerance, and exposure to different cultures. Placements were tailored to students' fields of study, providing alternative experiences in a chosen country. Language preparation and logistical and psychological support was given. The project was a significant milestone for students, both professionally and personally. It also featured staff training and teaching assignments, aiming to address skills gaps, meet training needs, and expand the international network of MCAST.
