The original goal of this project was to expand the existing offer. There where the existing offer mainly consisted of long-term internships to Southern Europe and sometimes other European countries, and a nice route to Berlin had been developed around retail, politics and culture. it was time to realize more diversity in our offer. We envisioned a route similar to Berlin to Malaga and the development of integrated or subsequent internships in relevant fields. In addition, the time had come to green our mobilities. Due to the estimated circumstances, this development has started, but has not yet come to fruition.
Originally we applied for funding through call 2020 to further develop our practise regarding internationalisation. As we applied we were unaware of what the future would bring us. Before we knew it we found ourselves in the middle of a pandemic. This meant downsizing our expectations. There where we were full of plans and ideas we had to shift down to basis mobilities in which our highest concern was the safity of our students. So in stead of developing and executing new 'green' projects we had to shift our focus to keeping what we had, if at all. In the aftermath of the pandemic , after we had to lower our ambitions at first and restarted with new energy, a new reality struck our organisation. Due to declining student numbers country wide our organisation got forced to re eavaluate our future. Soon it became clear that our only scenario left was an administrative transfer to an other organisation in Amsterdam. As it now seams this will become effective january 2024. This still means that for a few years we will be responsible for our students under the flag of ROC TOP before we merge with ROC van Amsterdam/Flevoland. As a result our ambitions for the future will have to be aligned with our new partner.
