Objectives

We have formulated our objectives at different levels. In general, we wanted to learn from other countries how they learn the language and at the same time guide migrants towards participation, work and/or education. At school level, we wanted to gain new insights into the approach to migrant issues, incorporate ideas and insights into innovative processes, and transfer knowledge to regional and national networks. At team level: intensifying cooperation in the teams, inspiration and new impetus for tackling the integration routes, reflecting on the education programmes. On an individual level: inspiration, development of international competences and personal development, reflection on own working methods and own methods

Background

At the time of the application, the new integration routes still have to be designed. Taal+ wanted to study abroad how the starting points of these routes: participation, work and/or further education are shaped in other countries. How language and participation is offered, so that migrants can live well in society. The design of the new routes should also give an impulse to the regular educational program of the Taal+ school, so that we can also offer WEB students more prospects for the future. The issue of migrants and integration is a topical subject in Europe in which adult education plays a role. The Taal+ school considers it important that its teachers/employees broaden their horizons and reflect on our programs from a different perspective and that they can make translations to provide new input to our offer. The municipalities that act as coordinators of the integration routes and are our WEB clients also need input from the Taal+ school. An Erasmus project gave us the opportunity to see how integration and education is shaped in comparable countries
