In addition to the background described above, a number of major social issues have a major impact on the green domain to which Aeres is committed. There are major challenges relating to climate, more sustainable use of natural resources, transition to a more nature-inclusive agriculture and there is increasing social criticism of production methods in the green domain and views on animal welfare. These challenges transcend national borders and call for international approaches and cooperation and new strategies on educational organisation, curricula content and new student skills in line with the green transition. This project support the above issues with the following objectives: Students; 1. Awareness of Impact in green domain around the world. 2. Gain international experiences, new skills. 3. Learn about new cultures. 4. Apply their existing work based skills and develop these in a different international context. 6. Develop personally as well as professionally. Staff: 1. Cooperate Internationally. 2. Increase network opportunities for students and staff. 3. Experience new insights and implement them back home. 4. Share experiences and learned skills in the educational system once back. 5. Encourage other students and staff.
The importance of internationalisation for an organisation like Aeres is increasing. The field for which Aeres works is steadily internationalising. National borders are blurring. Internationalisation is therefore a quality feature for Aeres. Without an international dimension in education, research and services, Aeres would not do its work well. Internationally competent graduates, whether or not partly trained in another language, knowledge development through international cooperation and knowledge of substantive developments in the world, contribute to the quality of the primary process. We applied for this project in order to continue our long term Mobility Strategy built up from our SCALA 1 - SCALA 14 projects. The Erasmus+ concept has been a part of Aeres for years and is very much a part of our culture. An important objective is to increase the number of mobilities and a broader variety in mobility formats. Without the Erasmus+ funding this would not be possible in most cases. A huge number of students cannot independently afford an international internship/mobility. This project also supports those students to allow them the opportunity to take part in an international experience that they otherwise could not afford.
