Objectives

Da Vinci's ambitions for call 2020 were: - Internationalisation of the curriculum. The aim is to focus on the teams that are responsible for developing education. This requires a vision of how international activities can be embedded in the curriculum. - Realisation of mobility of students and staff: Da Vinci College wants to grow into a situation where every student gets the chance to have an international experience and 10% of the students actually go abroad for an internship or project. - Establishing and maintaining partnerships. The Da Vinci participates in international projects, and also takes responsibility in the coordination of projects - Promote international cooperation. The Da Vinci College is a hospitable partner and gives international colleagues and students the space to learn from the practice of the Da Vinci College, or to do an internship within an organisation connected to the college. - Emphasis on the possibility for students with 'fewer opportunities'. This remains important, although it also often presents an organisational challenge, in addition to the financial problems of too little budget per trip for this group.

Background

International activities, both mobility for staff and students and international projects (Ka2/ KA3 and CoVE) have a permanent place in the policy and implementation at Da Vinci College. At the beginning of 2020, there will be a new internationalisation policy framework. The basis was the SBP "Border-breaking Education". The core is that 'Every student is expected to work on international competences and has a chance to gain an international experience. That doesn't necessarily have to be by traveling. Internationalisation@Home also plays an important role in the acquisition of international and intercultural competences'. Mobility of employees to strengthen their role as a driver is crucial. Joint mobility with stakeholders is a strong driver for the further development of hybrid learning. The Erasmus grant is crucial for the implementation of the plans. For the appearance of the college towards parents and future students, it is important that there is a variety of possibilities and that this is made visible via social media and the website. Students almost always experience an international activity as a huge enrichment of their school life where they gain learning experiences in different areas.
