1. Individual internships in a country of your choice > These internships are organised by the students themselves. They look for a company in a country within or outside Europe, with or without the help of an intermediary agency. This process immediately gives an impulse to the development of independence, entrepreneurship and a sense of responsibility. 2. Exchanges with partner schools > provide an opportunity for students at all levels to gain experience abroad. 3. Internships and specialised vocational training after graduation, such as furniture restoration at the renowned West Dean College in Great Britain and interior design at Thomas More College in Mechelen; a realistic and market-oriented bachelor's degree, with a focus on practice. 4. International internships and study trips for employees for the purpose of professionalisation in their field of expertise and personal development in regards to international competences.
HMC believes that an international internships and exchanges make a great contribution to the development of a young person. HMC supports the ideals of a united Europe and recognizes the impact through international collaborations with partner schools and companies in the exchange of knowledge, skills and competences. In addition, HMC sees that the branches for which students are trained operate more and more internationally and recognizes that a structural orientation on foreign countries is necessary. HMC strives to give all students the opportunity to do at least one exchange or internship abroad during their education. For employees the ambition is to grow the number of staff members who acquire international competences and gaining professional skills and knowledge during international study trips, in line with HMC’s initiative to further professionalisation activities. The GO9! project is our ninth mobility project for both students and staff. Realisation time: the physical mobilities for CALL2020 took place between November 2021 and November 2022. The policy plan internationalisation 2021-2025 which was relevant during this period is added as an attachment. In the first half of the 21-22 school year, mobilities were financed from CALL2019, which was still current due to the corona situation. The new rules were fully in force in CALL2020 (personal contribution of 100 euros had been cancelled and DUO financing was no longer deducted from the calculated amount from the Mobility Tool). As a result, the CALL2020 subsidy was used faster than before.
