We had the following objectives: • Social inclusion. Erasmus+ for students of all levels: from level 2 to level 4. •Supervision. We have strived for a uniform approach when guiding students on international internships. • Digitisation of Erasmus+ student mobility. At the end of January 2020, we started a digital monitoring system for all international internships with two modules. The system is now fully operational for all mobility activities: . • Innovation of education and improvement of staff mobility. In this Erasmus+ project, internationalisation has contributed even more to innovation and improving the quality of our education. Together with the education teams, we investigated what was needed when applying for Erasmus+ mobility. The selection of participants was done carefully: which themes and learning objectives are presented by the teams, how is this linked to the strategic perspective of our school and via which European partners can we gain the necessary knowledge and experience. • Safeguarding internationalisation. The role of the general coordinator internationalisation ROC A12 must be reduced. System Check of November 2019: internationalisation is too dependent on one person. Further embedding and spreading responsibilities in the organisation reduces this vulnerability. •Connection. ROC A12 is part of the COG foundation. How can we connect the different schools of our foundation through internationalisation (study trips, exchanges, projects).
In the Erasmus+ mobility project "Embracing Europe" the Internationalisation Office of ROC A12 aimed to bring about quantitative and qualitative improvements in six areas: social inclusion, supervision of mobilities, digitalisation, educational development (innovation), quality of teacher/staff mobility, anchoring of internationalisation and connecting within the organisation. To achieve these goals, internationalisation should be more and more embedded in our organisation and a wider, high-quality range of international internships should be offered to students and staff. We will make more use of the network built up in our three ongoing KA2 projects. Two of these projects are concerned with digitalisation and innovation. Embedding internationalisation on a strategic level in our organisation was and still is a key issue for us. Practically every team in our regional education centre has appointed a team member for internationalisation; it is laid down in all Team Plans. The system with coordinators for each location of our school works well. The new Strategic Perspective 2019-2022 of our Foundation COG contains a specific paragraph on internationalisation. This section clearly stresses the importance of international student and teacher mobility for our school. Student mobility is the main activity in our ROC A12 internationalisation programme. We were headed for a substantial expansion of our international mobilities but we experienced during this Call 2020 project that the effects of covid still had a negative effect on our ambitions; fortunately numbers picked up towards the end.
