By organizing the “Play for Change” project we aimed to contribute healthy lifestyle promotion among participating youth and their communities. Through participating in the project youngsters had an opportunity to see the interconnection and benefits of a healthy lifestyle and active citizenship, they also learned tools and ways for “living healthy” and for promoting it to their communities. The following below were expected outcomes of the project: - Improved self-confidence and self-esteem of participating youth; - Participants stay active in keeping and optimizing their health by adopting a healthy lifestyle; - Participants utilize new skills, knowledge, and behavior for promoting a healthy lifestyle in their communities. The project achieved envisioned objectives as it was shown in the final evaluation report, as well as in individual testimonials and follow-up activities. Moreover, we expected youngsters involved in the project to learn about Erasmus+ Program and such opportunities as ESC, Training courses, Youth exchanges, and at the same time, after first and positive mobility experience to get them inspired to look for different opportunities under Erasmus+ or other programs. And lastly, we aimed at increasing awareness of project participants, as well as the local community of Curacao about the European projects, EU values, European Citizenship, and increasing motivation for taking part in non-formal training activities. This was achieved by good media publicity, proved by a number of young people approaching the coordinating organizations with the request to provide more information about Erasmus+ mobility projects.
