By implementing the youth exchange "Cre-Activity" we aimed to promote creativity as central to an individual’s(as well as community’s) wellbeing and develop those skills through non formal activities. We gathered young people from Europe with different backgrounds to compare the environment they live in, how does it correspond with the way they think and influencing their future career. The objectives of the youth exchange were the following: - To unlock the creative potential embedded in everyone - To deepen current understanding of the creative process so that everyone can engage in it - To get familiar with prove creative thinking techniques - To provide youngsters with the tools and skills to manage and deal with the world’s change effectively - To raise young people’s employment chances in the ever-changing reality - To inspire the participants to promote creative thinking skills development among their colleagues, youth - To develop tolerance and mutual solidarity YE «CRE-Activity» sessions were focused on mostly to develop and improve certain creative skills at youth and youth leaders for their professional development and discover new ways to break mental barriers, thinking and roadblocks in order to improve performance, and unleash the creative potential. Creative thinking is encouraged in primary schools, but is slowly discouraged later on as we are taught to follow instructions instead. By the time we’re ready to start working, all our creativity becomes obsolete, which obviously affects cognitive development, academic achievement, social and economic innovation. Youth is the future, they are the drive changers who undoubtedly have to think creatively in order to adapt to a rapidly changing world. Hence, the idea of this YE was to gather young people from Europe with different backgrounds to compare the environment they live in, how does it correspond with the way they think and influencing their future career. Since creative thinking is almost always a collaborative activity working across and between disciplines requiring high levels of cooperation, participants were able to immerse into the atmosphere of practicing and developing creative thinking skills and its derivatives due to peer and non-formal learning, role-playing games and other kinds of activities. We tackled several problems caused by lack of creative thinking skills such as youngsters might have difficulties with the employment, they fail to see and exploit opportunities, it is hard for them to solve complex problems. The long term run result is visible on the participants as they were using the materials at their work places and in their organizations and were eager to work together in the future.
