We believe that the main objective was achieved, namely to create a space where participants can meet, share ideas and discuss about disability, accessibility and human rights and rural areas and learn about tools they can use in order to raise awareness about a better accessibility for people with disabilities. As the reality of disability is different and treated differently in each country, this time together facilitated the intercultural interaction and raised the level of awareness and cooperation on this field, between the countries. Participants discussed and improved their understanding about what being a European citizen with disabilities means, and also which are the possibilities that they have. The project facilitated the inclusion of people with disabilities, providing ways of treating them as equal, and, in the same time, helped the other participants understand what inclusion is and how to practice it. The helpers played an important role, not only because they helped at the beginning with the integration of the participants but also because they are the ones that, after the project, are bringing back home the knowledge that they accumulated. It was important that young people with disabilities to get involved in these integration processes, because, actually, they are the first beneficiaries(in a good or a bad sense) and they are the ones who can make a difference. With this youth exchange we aimed to transfer first of all information about raising awareness, skills and competences on how to interact with people with disabilities, how to promote factual inclusion, how to empower and have a healthy attitude towards disability and people with disabilities. With this project we wanted to facilitate the meeting of people with and without disabilities, to give the participants the knowledge about disability, human rights, accessibility and inclusion, and to help them develop skills to implement the information acquired in their communities and change their attitude for the better regarding disability, accessibility, inclusion and active participation in the community.
