Objectives

We wanted to achieve better teaching practices and a more relevant approach to students, which would prepare them for the challenges of the future working environment and society's changing expectations. The course aimed at enriching our methodology as educators within the areas of innovation and leadership. One of our major objectives was to learn how to stimulate and teach students how to be leaders and think outside of the box. We also wanted to learn about the latest theories and practices associated with leadership in education.

Background

We applied for the project because we needed to update our teaching skills in accordance with the Curriculum Reform 2020 in the Norwegian upper secondary school. The new curriculum requires a better focus on relevance, critical thinking, and an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning. We applied for the project in order to get inspiration and enhance our teaching skills in creating a more productive learning environment that would stimulate creative thinking, innovation, and leadership in the classroom.
