We wanted the visiting teachers to observe teaching in many different music subjects: choir, music history, ensemble teaching, singing, piano teaching, composing, ear training. What we wanted to learn was: - Methodology and didactics of the subjects, through observation and discussion with the teachers at the school. - See how the school day is organized, what curricula are used, what is the content of the subjects - Assessment: Exams, types of tests, organization of pupils' self-assessment - Projects that the school has as outreach activities - i.e. concerts, performances, other major projects "Implementing new curricula". New curriculum is introduced from 2021 and we wanted the project to contribute to new ideas for methods and see things in new ways when implementing new curricula Internationalization: Learning about the education and labor market for music graduates in Germany.
We wanted new impulses and experience of music education at secondary school in Germany. Germany has schools called "Musikgymnasium" and they are similar to the schools we have in Norway, but there are several differences.
