The students achieve a lot in various agricultural subjects participating in the project. It will bea kind of in-depth learning in diary production on cows, Gråsten Denmark, Meat processing at Olustvere in Estonia and Hoof care at Vabi in Belgium. The students achieve good competence in these topics. Those who have traveled abroad gain from the different schools’ expertise. They have become more confident in the English language. They also have got new friends, getting to know young people and adults in the host country, and other European countries. They have become familiar with another culture, and what politics and the standard of living are like in another country. The subjects and courses contribute to an increased understanding of the UN's sustainability goals.
We have students in the field of agriculture at the Valle department at Lena-Valle upper secondary school, Lena. The background is collaboration with approx. 13 similar schools/agricultural schools in Europe since 2006. Together with several of them, we have developed the collaboration, and adapted it to training needs, challenges and developments in agriculture. Our department has 180-190 students per year. year. About 50 of them study agricultural, and related to this project. The students are from Innlandet, i.e. all of the former Oppland.
