Countries: NO · Grant: €25,262

Objectives

We wanted to be able to see and experience similarities and differences, across national borders. Share exchange of experiences to create learning and new understanding of the subject. See the differences between play-based pedagogy and Montessori pedagogy to promote reflection and provide inspiration for your own practice. It is to share experiences and reflections with fellow pupils and students in the visiting country. We want to contribute to the development of professionals, their technical skills and ability to work with quality improvement. Learning about the difference between time spent outdoors vs. indoor time in kindergarten and within health, to create curiosity and reflections. See and learn how procedures and nursing care are carried out at other institutions, in order to reflect on your own practice.

Background

We applied for this project with the aim of increasing interest and mastery of the subject, and increasing the number of students applying for apprenticeships. In addition, we aimed to make offers to students regardless of their financial or social standing. Pupils who have also had various challenges at school wanted us to get such an offer, with the aim of preventing dropping out of upper secondary school. Getting to see and experience another culture, and having seen opportunities in Europe. As well as sharing experiences across national borders, we believe provide good reflections and motivation. Health and early childhood education offers many opportunities in Norway and in Europe, and our aim was to increase curiosity and a sense of accomplishment for young people.
