Countries: NO · Grant: €387,517

Objectives

The key objectives and goals for the project were to facilitate further development and sharing of professional knowledge, expertise, competence, and skills related to vocational education and training, develop networks, as well as emphasise the value of VET and make it a more attractive educational option. A key factor in creating competitive and sustainable business development in Vestland is the development of skills and competences in business and in VET. To succeed, it is important that VET schools, businesses, and the public sector focus on national and international initiatives on education, innovation, and competitive capacity, and that we work across sectors to better link VET and regional and local businesses. The mobility activities aimed at giving VET pupils, apprentices and staff valuable knowledge and skills as well as insight and experiences related to their professions. The mobilities also focused on attitudes, values and intercultural competence and awareness. In addition, the mobilities aimed at establishing structures/models for local cross-sectorial collaboration to strengthen vocational education and training and skills development according to local and regional needs in the business sector.
