Lier USS school has internationalization and participation in Erasmus + as one of the school's focus areas. The school has identified and built up 4 basic pillars over the years: Adapted education / Entrepreneurship / Cooperation school - working life and internationalization. The focus areas are clear in the school's management documents. Call 20 "Rigged for the future" is the school's first project where all program areas are involved. Positive experiences from students, teachers and leaders who have participated in Erasmus + since 2014 have led to this goal. We see that Erasmus+ increase students' ability to manage their own lives, it increases independence and life skills. Tolerance, intercultural understanding is a necessary competence in a diverse society and Erasmus+ are important for the school to prevent polarization and increase awareness that we are part of something bigger than a national citizenship. Democracy and the European dimension are important elements where Erasmus+ provides experiences for life. We apply because we see that mobility with a stay at school in combination with work practice and accommodation in host families contributes to increased learning outcomes personally, professionally and socially.
