‘’Healthier Together’’ was 8 days youth exchange aimed to bring together 36 young people (5+1 team leader) from 6 different countries to explore aspects of a healthy lifestyle, pros and cons of healthy environment on our well-being, exchange their ideas, share significant experiences, present successful practices, engage in problem-solving, and challenge themselves and others in order to live healthier in a healthy environment. A healthy lifestyle is playing a major role in our life and can prevent many diseases if we decide to switch to healthier living with the help of more physical activities, proper diet and stress management. It’s deniable fact that our environment has a crucial effect on our well-being as well. Before investing in ourselves to be healthful, we should think about our environment and its impact on our health. The deterioration of the environment affects our well-being in many ways. It’s easy to underestimate the power of our surroundings, but passive cues from our environment have a big influence on our daily decisions and on our long-term health. It has an impact on our mental health such as malodorous air pollutants heighten negative affect, and some toxins cause behavioral disturbances (e.g., self-regulatory ability, aggression). Consequently, building healthy environment for our mental and physical health can help us to live healthier and in a good mood. Alongside, physical activities and proper nutrition are beneficial and can increase energy level and self-esteem. Activities during the project were planned to help participants to get knowledge about the topic and actively participate in the resolution of the problem in their communities. Apart from the non-formal education part, they got practical information on the implementation of Erasmus+ projects and realized follow-up activities. This project prepared participants to be active citizens which led to having an impact and change of everyday habits and activities. The project encouraged participants to keep in touch and seek opportunities for future cooperation and build new project ideas and outcomes and strengthen the connection among their countries on a chosen topic. It provided tools for each participant to support the solution of a healthy environment in their future private and professional lives. Moreover, the project promoted inclusion, cultural diversity and tolerance among the participants. TTB association and CSYO as experienced and professional NGOs in this field will work on ‘’Healthier Together’’ youth exchange with partners who were experienced in raising healthy lifestyles among the youth. By the help of this youth exchange, participants were able to share their knowledge, feelings, and ideas with people from different cultural backgrounds to compare the main causes of the problems in their countries with others, its effects and solutions. As well as with the gained skills and tools partners learned about community-based approach using social change action.
