Objectives

A comprehensive analysis of the needs of our school carried out for the purposes of the project identified the following objectives: MORE ACTIVITY ON EUROPEAN LEVEL This project was to prepare the school staff for greater involvement in international cooperation. The possibility of exchanging experiences during international trainings builds trust and makes it possible to start cooperation much faster. BREAKING THE COMMUNICATION BARRIER IN ENGLISH USE AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHERS Each international project is based on communication in English. Immersion in the English language from many sides (travel, training, contacts with other students, local residents) makes it easier to overcome the speaking barrier ACQUIRING GOOD PRACTICES FROM OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN EUROPE Teachers' meetings during mobilities naturally leads to mutual exchange of experiences. It is a great opportunity to exchange good practices with teachers from different countries and to consult them directly on questions and doubts. BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF EUROPEAN CULTURE Thanks to staying in the country of mobility, teachers will understand better the complexity and diversity of Europe and thus will shape authentic attitudes of openness among students by referring to their own experiences

Background

The project "The Breakthrough Project - wielopłaszczyznowy rozwój kadry na miarę Europy" was born out of the need to activate the staff of our School Complex, and consequently the entire school community, for their own development and cooperation with teachers and schools from other European countries. The main goal was to motivate our teachers to improve their English language skills, learn the scientific method and form of working with students using the latest information and computer technologies (e.g. CLIL, project-based learning). By completing this project, we wanted to open more our community to multiculturalism - with continuous increase in the number of foreign students, for whom it is a real help in equalizing educational chances and creates intercultural integration opportunities. Establishing cooperation with students from other European countries is a great occassion to exchange experiences of children and youth as well as teaching staff, which may result in activity in the field of public initiative.
