Objectives

Implementation of project through teacher mobility was aimed at improving quality of school's work by acquiring new forms and methods of teaching, developing new materials and adapting to European teaching standards.Tasks undertaken in project reflected our current development needs and helped us expand our CLIL offer and continue to operate bilingual classes. 1) Teachers wanted to learn tools for working with gifted and weak students in foreign languages, math and science 2)Teachers wanted to gain knowledge about tools and methods for developing soft skills among students and teachers and providing psychological assistance to students at risk of depression or with learning difficulties. 3)Foreign language teachers, by attending ''refresher'' courses, needed to improve linguistic and cultural competence in combination with improving ICT skills and learning new methods of teaching and learning materials to prevent professional burnout and effectively use ICT. 4)We are looking for a solution to problem of P.E. excuses and want to promote a healthy lifestyle by learning about alternative forms of P.E 5)There is a great need to develop language competence among management, teachers and staff to raise the European dimension of school

Background

Teachers of the G. Morcinek School Complex No. 1 in Tychy decided to join the ERASMUS+ program because the school is located in a medium-sized town in the south of Poland, where there is a lack of opportunities for teachers' professional and interpersonal development, qualification improvement, broadening of horizons and improvement of the teacher's workshop .For language teachers, it was important to receive linguistic, methodological and linguistic-cultural training, and for others to gain competence for bilingual teaching. Participation in the project was an opportunity not only to raise the qualifications of teachers and improve their skills, but also to improve the quality of the school's work as an educational institution and give it a European dimension by increasing the linguistic competence of the staff to communicate with foreign-language exchange participants and acquiring European tools for certification and assessment of language competence. An additional motivation for joining the program was the opportunity for students to observe the attitude of teachers as identity-conscious Europeans, taking advantage of the benefits brought by the European Union, actively participating in the labor market.
