Based on the analysis of the school's needs specified in the European School Development Plan, the main goals of the project were identified, such as: improving the quality of school work, deepening and developing international cooperation (implementation of the Erasmus+ project for students and exchanges with partner schools), improving school management skills, enhancing teachers' skills and qualifications (training of the Teachers’Council, training of subject teams), familiarizing with new tools and teaching methods (organization of demonstration lessons), improving the language competences of employees, learning, modifying and creating teaching programs, improving the teaching and learning process (organizing scientific sessions, subjects competitions), increasing the European dimension of the school.
Teachers and employees of X Liceum Ogólnokształcace (High School) in Krakow decided to join the ERASMUS+ program because the evaluation results indicated that one of the areas requiring improvement was the increase of teachers' language competences and the creative use of innovative teaching methods. We saw the need to further development of language competences in the field of scientific vocabulary related to modern methods of teaching young people. The evaluation results indicated that one of the area requiring improvement was the modernization of the teaching style by using innovative and creative ways of teaching and building an attractive educational offer. We noticed the need for further education in teaching methodology, the use of ICT in lessons and the use of various educational platforms, including eTwinnig, to exchange experience and share knowledge. To be able to share experience and benefit from the experience of others, it was necessary to know English. That's why we decided to write a project ourselves as a part of the Erasmus+ program "School Education - Action KA1. Mobility of school education staff". The title of our project is "Creative, innovative, enterprising - a teacher of the 21st century".
